California Composer Carl Miles was introduced to music at an early age when six older siblings started a family band that played for numerous Armed Forces concert events and service clubs. After majoring in music at Cameron University in Oklahoma, Carl studied Music composition at Los Angeles City College. His recording credits include two albums with Bill Sheilds, "Sheildstone" and "The Force Of Nature," produced by Stanley Clarke (RSVP Records). Carl Miles's credits include the Jazz fusion album, Sheildstone, with Stanley Clarke producer, Bill Sheilds the Artist, and featuring, John Abecrombie, Jack Dejohnnette, Arito Morea, and Gordon Brisker. A second album is titled The Force of Nature. Carl's career has included live performances as a leader, and includes performances for the L. A. Marathon, City of Orange Festival, and the Los Angeles Central Street Concert.
